CHARACTER INFO
Name: Tony Stark
Gender: Male
Source: Marvel Live Action (movie-verse), from Iron Man
Canon point: After the events of the two Iron Man movies, post-Avengers
Age: 30s. Never ask a lady her age.
Colour: REDDDD #C00000
Chumhandle: notoriousTech
History: One! Two! Avengers! and dat big ole universe
Personality: What can you say about a man like Tony Stark.
What can you say about him that he hasn't already, at one time, said about himself, I mean.
Tony is almost everything you'd expect from a billionaire genius womanizing bachelor that acts like a celebrity (because he IS one), and also is a superhero with no secret identity. Who needs a secret identity? What's the point?
He has a supremely annoying lack of humility and prefers to mentally best others whenever possible--be it in a witty conversation or in business. Competition is healthy, and Tony is VERY competitive. But it's easy to be competitive when you win at everything. His brain moves a mile a minute, and unfortunately, so does his mouth. The guy is incredibly clever, but also spontaneous and brave to a fault. All of this combined can make him a bit unbearable for those who don't agree with him, and a lot of times even for those that do. He will annoy the hell out of you, if you let him, and then he'll keep going once he knows. The man has a touch of asshole in him. A large touch. A bad touch? Some of this is his natural personality, a lot of it is from him having a higher level of intelligence and not knowing how to deal with people that can't keep up, and even more has to do with him being unaccustomed to not getting exactly what he wants exactly when he wants it.
That being said, he's actually a pretty good guy, where it counts. He DOES have a good heart, and more often than not his intentions are good in the grand scheme of things. Tony has a checkered history, and he's well aware that his company is responsible for death--which is why he goes to such great lengths to make up for it, to save, to prevent. He loves his friends fiercely...he just...doesn't have all that many friends. Real friends, anyways.
Abilities & physical limitations: In terms of Tony just being Tony, he doesn't have any abilities beyond the average abilities of an in-shape, adult, human male. Besides the whole "genius" thing.
However, Iron Man is a totally different story. There's a breakdown of his armor here, and the armor he's bringing with him into the game is actually the Mark VII, which still retains all the capabilities of the Mark VI. The Iron Man armor is a powered exoskeleton that Tony has modified to fit him exactly. While the weapons and capabilities of the suit are definitely intense, it also has a lot of weaknesses (a lot that he hasn't prepared the suit for, especially in a multi-universe environment like Jarjammed), the main one being that his suits need to be recharged, and can run out of power. While the arc reactor in his chest is powerful (powered by Vibranium, holla), it's still running 24/7, and powering the suit is a whole nother animal. The main abilities of the suit are a holographic HUD, repulsor technology and remote assistance from JARVIS, who manages the armor's systems at Stark's command. It also has variable control surfaces for active flight control to automatically stabilize the suit in flight.
And, you know. He can fly. Neat!
Appearance: OH HELLO. Tony is...Robert Downey Jr...? He's a good lookin' MAN. With a stupid goatee.
Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable: n/a really! The only notable differences are assumptive, meaning--Tony knows that mutants exist, but he doesn't know the X-Men (because movie!Tony doesn't), and so on and so forth. Anything that's "happened" in the Marvel Live Action universe Tony most likely has a knowledge of, even if he wasn't directly involved.
Strife Specibus: Pulsekind! Tony's main weapons in his Iron Man suit is based around repulsor technology, one of his best and most important inventions in terms of weapons tech. The repulsors literally "pulse" energy, and can be used offensively as well as being used as thrusters to assist in flying.
Prototyping: Dummysprite - one of the first semi-autonomous robots he ever built. He's also an idiot, but at least he's loyal. Like a big, stupid, slobbering golden retriever but...not. Imps will have fire extinguisher arms. It's gonna be real annoying.
Title: Groom of Boom
In-game abilities: THIS IS SOMETHING I'M STILL WORKING OUT. Obviously he has his existing abilities, but the Groom of Boom will have a few different ones that react in different ways. The "Boom" is kind of obvious, given that weapons and explosions are absolutely his "thing," but I think his in game abilities might be a bit more mentally focused than physically. As in he gets "married" to a problem or an idea and he has to figure it out, he HAS to, and once he does it hits him like a ton of bricks. Haha. More on this as it progresses in game, honestly.
Planet: Land of Chrome and Grottos - his land is like a stainless steel and chrome laboratory mixed with the grotto from the Playboy mansion. It is fully ridiculous, with caves and lush green trees that are partly normal and partly mechanical. But luckily, his house came with him. Sort of.
What's more ridiculous is his consorts--robotic dogs that are basically a mix of the turrets from Portal and Dug from Up. They talk like this. They are horrible.
RP Sample: A bunch of threads from the test meme here!
